Round trip through the north

I recently returned to Australia after a 6 month work trip to Chiang Rai, northern Thailand to conduct field-work for my PhD looking at collective decision-making in Asian honeybees. The trip was very successful and I now have collected data for 5 separate studies which I hope to publish as part of my thesis.

I have seen a lot of crazy things on my trip, but for now I am posting only some panoramic shots of the countryside I took while on a 10 day road trip through the Northwest of Thailand. Enjoy!

Mae Hong Son as seen from the local temple.

The view from the hill overlooking Ban Pang Kham

Ban Pang Kham again, view from the top of the slope I almost drove my car off

Ban Pang Kham

Overlooking the Burmese border from Ban Microwave.

The microwave dishes after which the town is named.

Track into the mountains.

Highway 105 through Tak province.

That's all for now, I will post more next time I am bored.
